The University of Nairobi is the only institution of higher learning with the oldest and Olympic size swimming pool with other smaller pools in school of law and Kenya Science campus. These pools are manned by qualified and experienced life guards and pool / pump attendants.

Campuses within Nairobi have adequate sports facilities, good reservoir of sports equipment compared to any other Institution of higher learning.

How / Who to use the facility

Sports facilities at the university are basically meant for University of Nairobi students. However, the members of staff are only allowed to use once they pay a fee depending on the duration of time one wants to use the facility. On the other hand the outsiders shall be allowed to use the facility only when they get the approval from the Vice-Chancellor.
